Code P0011 — Camshaft Position Timing Over-Advanced (Bank 1)

The P0011 code means the intake camshaft on Bank 1 is more advanced than what the ECM has commanded. This is related to Variable Valve Timing (VVT) systems. The camshaft timing affects engine performance, fuel economy, and emissions. An over-advanced condition can cause rough idle, poor fuel economy, and a rattling noise from the engine.
